Potomac State athletes are known to take down their prey as swiftly as our mascot, the Catamount. Our men’s baseball team leads the way with seven appearances in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) World Series, including a national championship. The team’s many regional and district titles are surpassed only by the number of players who have moved on to NCAA Division I schools. Our men’s basketball and softball teams recently advanced to the national tournament, while our women’s soccer team wrapped up an undefeated regular season and volleyball has won four straight conference championships.
In fact, every team at Potomac State has a winning record, players who move on to the next level, and a commitment to Catamount Pride. Last season PSC welcomed men’s and women’s cross country and lacrosse to increase the athletic department to 11 teams.
Potomac State is the perfect place to develop as an athlete while earning a degree. For some, it’s a stepping-stone to a four-year athletic career. And for others, it’s a springboard to a professional athletic career. And for all, it’s guaranteed to provide a strong academic foundation.
Little named to NJCAA Baseball Hall of Fame.
