Catamount Pride

Potomac State athletes are known to take down their prey as swiftly as our mascot, the Catamount. Our men’s baseball team leads the way with seven appearances in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) World Series, including a national championship. The team’s many regional and district titles are surpassed only by the number of players who have moved on to NCAA Division I schools. Our men’s basketball team recently advanced to the national tournament, while our women’s soccer team wrapped up an undefeated regular season.

In fact, every team at Potomac State has winning records, players who move on to the next level, and a commitment to Catamount Pride. And beginning fall of 2014 we welcome men’s and women’s cross country and lacrosse.

If you love to play sports, Potomac State is the perfect place to further your athletic career and develop as an athlete. For some, it’s a stepping-stone to a four-year athletic career. And for others, it’s a springboard to a professional athletic career.
