Would you like a chance to make an impact on your community? Want to meet and work with some positive, energetic people? Would you like to go on some great road trips and take on some challenges beyond the classroom and campus? The Community Service Office might just be the place to start.
We have traveled spring break to the coal fields of West Virginia, Williamsburg, Virginia and central North Carolina to work with housing rehab projects, flood recovery and Habitat for Humanity. Locally, we tutor children after school, we do home repairs, build wheelchair ramps and help families and individuals move to better, safer housing. We work in partnership with the Mineral County Alternative School, Senior Services, Helping Hands and Burlington U. Methodist Family Services.
The Community Service Office is located in Reynolds Hall 101. For additional information please contact Pastor Jim McCune, coordinator. His email is firstname.lastname@example.org and the office number is 304-788-6868.
