Student Life at Potomac State College

Student Life

The mission of the Student Life Division is to provide programs and services that support and enhance student success.

Our goals are to:

  1. Prepare students to be productive members of society.
  2. Engage students in campus life.
  3. Create experiences that prepare students for success at PSC and beyond.
  4. Offer programs and services that promote healthy lifestyle choices.
  5. Nurture and model a caring and inclusive culture where all students are welcome.

Student Life personnel  are experienced, qualified, caring and hard-working.  We are here to help you achieve success.

I encourage you to get involved in
campus life .

An array of activities and recreational programs are planned for you including intramural sports, Fall Fest, Spring Fest, guest speakers, recreational activities, Theme Weeks, Nightly Line-ups in the Union, a trip to a WVU football and a trip to a WVU basketball game, “tent city,” and an end-of-year trip to King’s Dominion, to name a few.  There are also “volunteer opportunities” including Habitat for Humanity, a spring break to assist in the rebuilding of the areas destroyed by flooding in WV last year, and so on. Please check out the College’s Calendar of Activities .

One of the many advantages of attending WVU/PSC is the opportunity to immerse yourself in
student organizations .  There are over twenty active student organizations. Surely, there is at least one that sparks your interest. If you were a student leader in high school, you will have many opportunities to be one in college.

Interested in intercollegiate athletics ? PSC fields eleven teams including Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Cross Country, Volleyball, Men's and Women's Lacrosse, Softball and Baseball.

Our goal is your success, so don't hesitate to contact me, or anyone in Student Life if you have a question, a concern, or an idea to enhance your life at West Virginia University/Potomac State College.

Good luck on your educational journey.
