9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Student Services Day for First-Year Students-- Church-McKee Auditorium

 

Course registration, bill payment, financial aid, meal plans, Catamount ID Cards, Mountie Bounty registration, parking permits.  (Many of these services can be taken care of online through your MIX e-mail account. You only need to stop by if necessary.)

9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  

Residence Hall Check-in for First-Year Students Only

 

Specific details for check-in will be sent out at a later date. Check your mail and MIX e-mail regularly for updates. (Students must register for courses and pay bills prior to checking-in to residence halls; students residing in the residence halls must have a Catamount ID Card to check into the building.) All freshman students will check-in at University Place.

9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Placement Tests ---Academic Success Center-- Lower Level of Library

 

Students must check with Enrollment Services to see if placement testing is necessary.

11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Family Farewell Picnic--- on the Quad (No charge)

1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Pick up maps in the Library, check your schedule and find out where your classes are going to be held.

Get help with My Log-in, MIX Account, Wireless Network, Library Databases, AlcoholEdu, etc.

4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Student Dinner in the Potomac Commons in University Place .

 

Students with active meal plans gain access with their Catamount ID Card.  Anyone who does not have a meal plan can pay the posted door price by cash, check, Dining Dollars, or credit card.

6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Dodgeball/Volleyball/Corn Hole—on the Quad

6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Ice Cream Social--Library

9:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Ballistic Bowling—Rainbow Lanes in Keyser

 

Shuttles will transport students from the University Place porch to and from Rainbow Lanes.

Monday, August 15th

Continental Breakfast in the Davis Conference Center

 

Free to all students, faculty, and staff.  Students with meal plans must present their Student ID.

10:00 a.m. - 3:10 p.m.

Academic Workshops/Student Life Presentations

 

Required for all first year freshmen students.

12:00 p.m. - 1:20 p.m.

Catamount Foundation Picnic—on the Quad

Light refreshments provided.  Bring a blanket to sit on and enjoy the movie. The local Kiwanis will be selling hotdogs, fried Oreos, etc.
