Registration
Catamount Children's Center welcomes all children ages two through 12. All children are accepted regardless of the child's abilities. Registration is on a first-come basis with priority given to Potomac State College of West Virginia University students, faculty, and staff.
When space is available and parents wish to enroll a child at the Center they schedule a meeting with the coordinator to complete the intake and enrollment package. When applying for services parents are given the opportunity to discuss with the staff members whether the program will meet their needs and the needs of their child, how the service is provided, and what procedures they should follow to best help their child obtain the full benefit of the Childcare experience.
Fees
Upon enrolling a child at the Center there is a non-refundable registration fee of $30 per family. There is a fee waiver for any family receiving tuition income based assistance through Mountain Heart.
Tuition
Half Day (4 Hours or less) - $12.00
Full Day (4 Hours or more) - $23.00
Afterschool Rate (child must be enrolled in school) - $3 per Hour
All payments are due at least weekly, but parents may elect to pay in advance, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. Tuition may be paid by personal check, money order, or cashiers check. Checks are to be made payable to The Children's Home Society of West Virginia. Cash is not accepted. If payments are a problem and delinquent the Coordinator will inform parents by letter of late fees. If problems persist the Coordinator has the right to terminate the care until payment is made.
